Job Description – HVAC/Chiller Field Service Temperature Technician

Become a part of one of Boise’s fastest growing Industrial Chiller and PowerGen Enclosure manufactures, located in Caldwell, ID.

You will have a variety of responsibilities ranging from Field repairs, troubleshooting and equipment start up, to in house production assembly. We have customers both locally and nationwide and you will be required to occasionally travel out of state. You will play a crucial role in both shop assembly of new product and Field Service. As the lead Field Service Temperature Technician, you will be in a customer facing position and will be representing the companies Service Dep’t.

The qualified applicant must have EPA Section 608 Universal certification to handle, recover and recharge sealed freon systems for large industrial cooling equipment. They will also have vast experience working on commercial chillers, with great diagnostic and repair skills and have a detailed understanding of control functions and programming. Fabrication and welding experience are a plus. Must be a self-starter and be customer service oriented. The qualified service technician will have 5-10 years of experience and/or technical education and will need to be available to travel at a moments’ notice. Qualified applicants will need to possess a positive attitude, with a desire to take care of our customers and their equipment and represent the company at the highest level.

With Field Service being your top priority, if there are no immediate Field Service duties, you will be filling in on the production floor with assembly and testing wherever needed. Field service duties will include diagnostic troubleshooting, controls programming, maintenance and all aspects of repair, perform Start & Test of new chillers and at times, may require out of state travel.

    Requirements

     

      • Have 5-10 years HVAC related and/or Chiller maintenance and repair experience
      • Be available to travel on short notice
      • Be able to pass a drug test and background test
      • Be able to lift at least 25-50lbs frequently and up to 75-100lbs occasionally
      • Possess EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
      • Possess a valid driver’s license
      • Show proof of US Citizenship
      • Have fabrication/welding experience
      • relevant: 5 years (Required)

    Experience: 

    • Have 5-10 years HVAC related and/or Chiller maintenance and repair experience

    Physical Requirements:

     

    • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring awkward stances and positions for periods of time throughout an 8 to 10 hour day.
    • Ability to stand and walk for majority of 8 to 10 hour day, bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds regularyly and 70 lbs occasionally throughout the day; push or pull product up to 100 pounds on an infrequent basis; use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time

      This is a fulltime position. You’re required to work 10 Hours per day, 5 days a week. 6am – 4pm Mon thru Fri.
